As you can see, i decided to use a very different theme for the wedding blog. No more the girly pink, just black and white.

It's a statement:

3) chic
4) and yes, just the geek in me screams for the simplicity of black and white

Geeky Wedding cake

It just occured to me, our wedding can be so named, the Geek wedding.

So see what wedding cakes i came across for this: Super Mario Wedding Cake.

I love it... It's so cute.

Hmm.. do you think it will be able to survive:

1) 16hours flight excluding transit time

2) Temperature change of 30 degrees

I highly doubt it can survive for my wedding in Singapore. ohh.. i love this cake.....

Date, Venue?

We have decided the wedding will be on 1-1-2009 (thurs) in Singapore.

Why have a wedding?

• Derrick and i are married on 17-March-2007 in Singapore.
• We want to have a chinese traditional wedding and banquet for our family and frens.

Why Singapore?

• All our family, relatives and friends are back in Singapore. It's definitely cheaper for the bride and groom to fly back instead.

Why 1-1-2009?

• It's a public holiday and we figured it's more convenient for our guests
• We wanted it to be end of the year as it will be easier for both of us to take leave.

Yes, a new site

Now that we are planning our upcoming wedding, i figured to have the wedding stuff on a blog itself.

So far, not much wedding preparations have been done. It's a totally different experience planning the wedding from the other part of the world. Planning in USA, wedding in Singapore.

I always wanted a simple yet elegant wedding. Another word for that would be cozy. Well i guess, most girls would want to have a fairy tale wedding. As for me, all i want is a fairy tale ending. I'm not particular about the fuss about the wedding details and i consider it a blessing.

I'm glad Derrick is in sync with me on this. It will be a cozy wedding for 200-250 guests.
